Obituary of Barbara Ann Davis
BARBARA A. DAVIS
RHINEBECK - Barbara Ann Davis, 64 of Rhinebeck and formerly Coxsackie, beloved wife of Russell M. Davis, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at ArchCare at Ferncliff Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center after a long, terrible, yet courageous battle with Huntington's Disease.
Born in Orangeburg, NY, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen (Szabad) Varade. She was the devoted wife of 45 years to Russell and cherished mother to Jennifer (Aaron) and the late Thomas. Barbara took pride in her work as a supervisor with Moore North America in Albany.
Barbara was a ray of sunshine; very kindhearted with a contagious bubbly personality which allowed her to get along with everyone. She was always helping out anyone in need whenever she could. Aside from her family she loved dogs, especially her "fur-babies" Dixie and Tank, trips to the beach and music, in particular Elton John.
In addition to her husband and daughter Barbara is survived by her brother Dennis (Joan) Varade, brothers-in-law TJ (Nikki) Davis, Paul (Debbie) Davis, Christopher Davis, and Scott (Amanda) Davis as well as sister-in-law Lena (Mike) Labunski. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted by Barbara's family to the care of The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Babcock Funeral Home, 19 Pulver Ave in Ravena.
