Regina Z. Parker (Patcigo)

LA QUINTA, CA – Regina Z. Parker, 95, of La Quinta, CA and formerly Niskayuna, NY passed away on October 21, 2024 at the Palms at La Quinta with her daughter Diane at her bedside. Regina was born in Schenectady, NY on December 28, 1928, the daughter of the late Boleslaw and Katherine Zielinski.

Regina was predeceased by her loving husband of 71 years Donald G. Parker, Sr., her son Donald G. Parker, Jr., her brother William Zielinski and sister Irene Kozlowski.

She is survived by her daughter Diane Friedman (Michael), her grandsons Daniel Olson (Sera), Donald Parker (Kate) and David Parker (Kaitlin), and James Friedman (Emily) and great grandchildren Caleb, Cole, Harper and Milo.

Regina was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady, NY. She was employed by SUNY Music Department until her retirement. Regina immersed herself in her family and her good nature would shine through her love of dancing and countless friends. Regina and her husband Don entertained family and friends at their summer home on the Great Sacandaga Lake for over 50 years where boating, games and great food rolled out of their kitchen. Church at Northville was not to be missed! Regina and Don were members for many years of the Elks, the Benedicts and the Cotillion in Rexford.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Sunday evening, October 27th, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral service will take place the following day, Monday, October 28th, 2024, 9:00 am at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham with Reverend John Califano officiating. Interment beside her husband Donald will immediately follow the service and take place at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
