Obituary of Brian D. Wimble

BRIAN D. WIMBLE

LATHAM - Brian David Wimble, 65 of Latham, NY passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Born in Albany, NY, Brian was the son of Dorothy Eve (Kenyon) Wimble and the late Donald James Wimble.  He is survived by his wife, Debbie, of forty years. He was the cherished father of Ashley Rose.

In addition to his mother, wife, and daughter, Brian is survived by two brothers: Michael (DeeDee) Wimble of Phoenix, AZ, and Gregory (Patti) Wimble of Ipswich, MA, and a sister, Marie (Kevin) Wertman of Albany, NY. Brian was predeceased by his sister, Donna Wimble of Honea Path, SC. He was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew.

Brian enjoyed gardening, exploring the outdoors, learning about American history, and listening to his daughter sing. Brian was a devoted husband who loved to spend time with his family and friends. One of his greatest joys was being a father. He was exceptionally proud of his daughter and her many accomplishments.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at The Calvary United Methodist Church, 15 Ridge Place, Latham, NY, with Reverend Gordon Drake officiating on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 at 1:00 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Brian’s memory to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.

Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the care of The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Latham.
