Sadrudin B. Jaffer Obituary

RENSSELAER - Sadrudin B. Jaffer, age 76, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024. He was a beloved husband, brother, father, uncle, brother-in-law, friend and the most loving Nanu (grandfather), to his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Sadrudin was born on May 28, 1948 in Uganda, East Africa. He is survived by his wife Gulshan Jaffer, whom he spent 55 years loving and married to. Sadrudin and Gulshan came to America as refugees in the 1970's. They were sponsored by the East Greenbush Reform Church. Sadrudin came to America and worked very hard. He created a beautiful and fulfilling life for his wife Gulshan, and son Rahim Jaffer who predeceased him. He even took care of and helped create a beautiful life for his extended family.

Sadrudin's first job was at Albany Public Market. He moved on to work for General Electric, where he retired from. Sadrudin was very involved in his community. He was an active member and always did what he could to pay it forward, and help others as much as he possibly could. He always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his wife Gulshan, traveling, going out to different restaurants, driving, listening to music, watching tv, especially sports and the Olympics. He was a very loving, and caring gentleman.

Sadrudin will be greatly missed. The memories of him will live on, and bring a smile to all those who had the pleasure of knowing such a kind man. He touched the lives of so many people. Although we lost a dear loved one here on earth, heaven gained another angel.
