DONALD G. PARKER JR.
STILLWATER - Donald G. Parker (Patcigo) Jr., 71 of Stillwater, beloved husband of the late Joanne (Cistin) Parker, passed away Saturday, August 3rd, 2024.
Born in Schenectady on January 14th, 1953 he was the son of Regina (Zielinski) and the late Donald G. Parker Sr. Donald attended Mont Pleasant High School and went on to graduate from Siena College and Penn State University. He worked as Human Resource Director for the NYS Department of Tax and Finance and later went on to work for FEMA as an Emergency Management Specialist up until his retirement in 2024.
Donald enjoyed boating, fishing, collecting trains, and spending quality time with his beloved family. He was a cherished son, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and loyal friend. He will be forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
Donald is survived by his two sons Donald G. (Kate) Parker III and David C. (Kaitlin) Parker, grandsons Caleb D. Parker and Cole J. Parker, mother Regina Z. Parker, sister Diane (Michael) Friedman, as well as nephews Daniel Olson and James Friedman.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call on Friday, August 9th, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, 10:00 am at the funeral home with Reverend John Califano officiating. Interment in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna will immediately follow the service.
