Obituary of Marianne B. Stewart
MARIANNE B. STEWART
Loudonville - Marianne B. Stewart, 93 of Loudonville, beloved wife of the late James C. Stewart, passed away on Monday, July 15th, 2024 at her home with her family at her side.
Born in New York City on August 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Alfred F. and Maude (Messinger) Nestor. She was a graduate of Holy Cross Academy and the College of St. Rose. Marianne was married to James on October 20, 1956 and the two shared a blessed union of 62 years of love and devotion prior to James' passing in 2018.
Marianne was employed as a Social Worker with the Albany County Dept. of Social Services in Albany for 30 years, retiring in 1990. Prior to that she was a Social Worker for Catholic Charities for 3 years.
She was also a dedicated member of the Alumni Association at St. Rose.
Survivors include her loving children: Marybeth (Jeff) Kennedy, Paula (Paul) Fox and Ellen (Scott) Becker, her 7 cherished grandchildren: James J. Stewart, Erin Fox, Drew Fox, Max Becker, Sam Becker, Connor Kennedy and MacKenzie Kennedy, and great-grandson Sanderson Fox. She is also survived by her sister: Trudy Lynch
In addition to her late parents and husband, Marianne is predeceased by her son James A. Stewart and her grandson Stewart Francis Kennedy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, July 20th, 2024. Visitation to be held from 9:00 to 10:00 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. All services will be held in the chapel at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville. Interment to follow in the family plot of St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
