Obituary of Micah Elizabeth Dukes
MICAH ELIZABETH DUKES
ALBANY - Micah Elizabeth Dukes, 29 of Albany, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 8, 2024 at NYU Langone Medical Center in Manhattan, after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Troy, NY, on March 14th, 1995 she was the daughter of Rodney Dukes and Rian (Herrington) Connery.
Micah was a 2013 graduate of Troy High School. She attended SUNY Cortland and graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in 2023. Micah worked as a Program Manager for Cornell Cooperative Extension and most recently the Office of the NYS Comptroller as a Retirement Systems Examiner. She enjoyed hiking, kayaking, traveling, gardening and had a special place in her heart for animals especially her beloved fur-baby, Sasha Ann. Micah will be forever remembered and cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
In addition to her parents Micah is survived by her stepfather Shawn Connery, brothers Jesse Wagoner and Tyler Park, maternal grandparents Nancy and Robert Bonsteel, paternal grandmother Deborah Richardson, aunt Amy Desrosiers and uncle Michael (Christa) Herrington. Also survived by her cherished and closest friends Nicole Taylor, Miranda Hogan, Tabia Gamble, Aziza Gamble, Amani Anderson, Alejandro Estefan, and Leomaris Caba Caceres.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Calling hours will take place from 9:00 to 11:00 am. A prayer service will begin at 11:00 am.
