Obituary of Ann C. Daly

ANN C. DALY

Loudonville - Ann C. Daly, 78 of Loudonville, passed away peacefully on June 11th, 2024 in the comfort of her home with loving family, friends, and aides at her side.

Born on March 25th 1946 in Albany, raised in the Pine Hills neighborhood, she was the daughter of the late Victor A. and Edna C. (Meyer) Oberting, and a graduate of Albany's Mercy High School and Mildred Elley Business School. Ann was a longtime resident of Loudonville, communicant of St. Pius the X Church, devoted volunteer at Albany Memorial Hospital, and beloved friend and neighbor.

After raising three boys, Ann crafted a long and accomplished career in Office Management and Administration. With her infectious cheer and authentic enthusiasm, she made lasting impacts on the people and place at organizations like the New York Ophthalmological Society, Medical Manager, and WebMD. Ann retired from Interstate Commodities in Troy, the company founded by her father, where she got to work closely with family and longtime friends. All the while at home, she poured those energies into a passion for creating and maintaining the most magnificent backyard garden. There would barely be a day in the spring, summer, or fall, that you would spot Ann without gloved hands and covered in dirt. Wherever she went, love grew.

Ann is survived by her three children, David V. Daly, Christopher E. Daly and Timothy P. Daly (Amy), four vibrant grandchildren she adored, Everett, Wyatt, Logan, and Ellie, as well her three brothers Victor A. Oberting (Dorothy), David M. Oberting, and Paul M. Oberting (Mary Lou) in addition to the many cousins, nieces, and nephews across the country.

In addition to her parents, Ann is predeceased by her brother Donald J. Oberting and her sister Mary Oberting Primett.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, June 14th, 2024 at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

Funeral Prayer Service will take place on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands will immediately follow the service.
