Obituary of Patricia Eva Cebry

PATRICIA EVA (KOZEL) CEBRY

GRAPEVINE, TX - Patricia Eva (Kozel) Cebry, 88 of Grapevine, TX, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 after courageously battling cancer. "Patty", "Grammie", or "GP" as she was affectionately known to those closest to her was the loving mother of Michael (Martha) Cebry, Stephen Cebry, James (Jennifer) Cebry, and Barbara (Patrick) Rayball.

Born in Ghent, NY, on September 23, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Misovich) Kozel. Pat graduated from Hudson High School and completed her Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandise at Endicott Junior College. Throughout her career she worked at Bloomingdales in New York City, as well as Key Bank in Delmar, NY for 30 years.

Throughout Pat's life she resided in many places including Ghent, NY Hudson, NY, New York City, Blauvelt, NY, Glenmont, NY, Clarksville, NY, Delmar, NY and Grapevine, TX. She was a former member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Colleyville, TX. She was involved in numerous charities and organizations including the Grapevine Newcomers. She loved to quilt, lovingly crafting many for family and friends and for the Lutheran World Relief Ministries which sends quilts around the world for those in need. Gardening was her passion, her home was always filled with an abundance of flowers and vegetables. She prided herself in her baking expertise and shared her love in sweet treats for all. Pat enjoyed playing cards and Rummikub with her children and grandchildren. She loved playing MahJong, Pinochle, and Canasta with her church friends and beating her friends at Heartis in Poker. She was always working on a puzzle too. Her greatest joy in life however was spending quality time with all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; a chit chat with Pat was always filled with laughter and time treasured.

In addition to her late parents, Pat is predeceased by her brothers Frank and Edward Kozel and sister Marian Kozel.

In addition to her beloved children, Pat is survived by her adored grandchildren Nicholas (Sara Beth) Cebry, Katherine Cebry, James (Deborah) Cebry, Hannah Cebry, Sarah (Ryan) Bengtson, Eric Cebry, Andrew (Elise) Cebry, Garrett Cebry, Morgan Cebry, Emily, Julia, Rylee and Camryn Rayball, five great-grandchildren: Logan, Noah, Natalie, Sophia and Everett along with several nieces, nephews and many cherished friends.

Pat will be terribly missed yet her love and legacy will carry on in the hearts of all of those she cared deeply for. In the words of Pat, "Bye for now, LVU".

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, May 17th, 2024, 11:00 AM at the Cedar Park Cemetery, 20 Columbia Turnpike in Hudson, NY. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, 10:00 AM at Crown of Life Lutheran Church, 6605 Pleasant Run Road, Colleyville, TX.
