Obituary of Catherine M. Grace

CATHERINE M. GRACE Latham- Catherine M. Grace, 94 of Latham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 5 at Our Lady of Hope Residence, in Latham. Born in Phildelphia, PA on January 3, 1916, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Marie (Rogers) Grace and resided in Albany for many years. She received a BA from Siena in 1945 and a Masters from SUNY in 1952. She was a Rehab Administrator for the NYS Office of Vocational Rehabilitation in the Poughkeepsie and Albany offices. Catherine also was a consultant for a poverty agency, providing in service training as well as a volunteer at a foster home for children and the Jeanne Jugan Seniors program for the Little Sisters of the Poor. Catherine enjoyed travelling widely in the US and Europe as well as serving others through many volunteer efforts. Survivors include her Dear and close friends; Mary F. Smith of Albany, Cornelia Siligato of Rensselaer, as well as the Little Sisters of the Poor and the residents of Our Lady of Hope. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 am at Our Lady of Hope Chapel, 1 Jeanne Jugan Lane, Latham, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am immediately following the visitation at Our Lady of Hope Chapel In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Hope.
