Obituary of Sharri Lynne (Frey) Porcelli
SHARRI LYNNE (FREY) PORCELLI
WATERVLIET - Sharri Lynne (Frey) Porcelli passed away Friday, January 26th, 2024 at the age of 52 surrounded by her loving family. She courageously battled cancer for two years without ever complaining, often comforting others instead. Sharri will be remembered for her quick wit, heavenly smile, and servitude to others.
Sharri was one of six children born on April 7th, 1971 to Jeanne and Ed Frey.
Sharri loved all things family; She was everyone's first phone call when in need and you usually felt better before hanging up, sometimes hours later. Sharri's shopping prowess was second to none and she loved to give as her 33 nieces and nephews and her son and daughter will attest too.
Sharri is survived by her mother and father, Jeanne and Ed Frey, her loving husband Peter who was with her every step of the way, her daughter Kateri (Jason) and son Peter (Faith), her mother-in-law Mary Ann Porcelli, her siblings Michelle Gioeni (Jimmy), Kristi George (John), Kerra Rootes (Thomas), Stacie Sevinsky (Chris), and Jared Frey (Vera). Also survived by cherished special friend Cherie Griffin. Sharri was predeceased by her father-in-law, Michael who loved her as his own.
Sharri was the rock behind her family supporting whatever her daughter and son were into. She took care of everything so her husband Pete could do what he loved to do, coach football and wrestling, and impact young lives. Pete is forever grateful for that.
Sharri was and always will be the greatest library clerk; a job she held for 17 years at Blue Creek Elementary. She loved her job, her colleagues and most of all her students, whom she cared about immensely.
