Obituary of Stephen S. Cosgrave
STEPHEN S. COSGRAVE
LATHAM - Stephen S. Cosgrave, 82 of Latham, passed away peacefully on December 2nd, 2023 at The Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors in Albany surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 4, 1941, he was the son of the late Chester B. and Mary Louise (Waymeire) Cosgrave. Stephen was married to the former Karline A. Willette on April 22, 1967 and the two have shared a blessed union of 57 years prior to his passing.
Stephen was a self-employed Truck Driver for many years. He loved all things that had to do with cars, trucks, tractors and farm equipment. Stephen truly enjoyed his time he spent with his family and friends, especially going for rides and going out to dinner and most importantly, the holidays.
In addition to his loving wife: Karline, he is survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Cosgrave, goddaughter Samara (James) Dorward, his best friend Barbara (Marcel) Jones and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Stephen is predeceased by his brother Curtis B. Cosgrave.
Stephen's family would like to acknowledge the heartfelt care and compassion shown to him by the staff of the Gold Unit during his stay at the Daughters of Sarah.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, December 8th, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham. A prayer service beginning at 11:00 AM will immediately follow the calling hours. Interment to follow in Albany Rural Cemetery.
