Obituary of Lloyd "Pete" A. Emerick

LLOYD "PETE" A. EMERICK Latham- Lloyd "Pete" A. Emerick, 85 of Cohoes, beloved husband of the late Zora F. Hoffman Emerick passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Hazel (Sleight) Emerick. Pete was a graduate of Cohoes High School class of 1941. He married his beloved Zora Hoffman Emerick on June 23, 1945 and she passed away this past Feb. 15, 2010. He was a Charter Member of the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192. Pete was the House Steward at the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192 in Latham for over 45 years, a position that he loved and poured his heart and soul into. He was the owner & operator of Emerick Farm Equipment in Cohoes for over 60 years. He was a former member of the Boght Fire Company. Survivors include his loving children Donna Sharron (Jim Trainor) of Clifton Park, and Robert (Lori) Emerick, his cherished grandchildren Melissa Sharron, Janice (Scott) Madigan, Allison Emerick, Hannah Emerick and Mary Jane Emerick, he was the brother of Paul (Marilyn) Emerick of Easton and Gordon (Beverly) Emerick of Clifton Park. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Nick TeBordo officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Interment Memory's Garden, Colonie.
