Obituary of Rozanne C. Fusci
ROZANNE C. FUSCI
LATHAM – Rozanne C. Fusci, 75 of Latham, beloved wife of Kenneth G. Fusci, entered into eternal life on Saturday, September 30th, 2023. She passed peacefully at Albany Medical Center with her family at her side after a two-month battle with melanoma. She continued to display strength and poise as she did while beating colon cancer ten years before.
Rozanne was born on November 21st, 1947 in Stamford, CT; daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie (Barry) Culasso. She was a graduate of Stamford Catholic High School and earned her B.S. in Chemistry at Southern Connecticut State University.
Rozanne most recently worked as a Program Aide for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance until her recent retirement due to illness. She was a longtime, active communicant of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Latham. She could often be found volunteering at both the church and school and singing in the choir. When her daughter, Beth, was a student athlete at Shaker High School, she was designated "Swim Team Mom". She was an avid supporter of events and activities in the community which involved her grandchildren, godchildren, nieces, nephews, and all of the people who were special to her. She was always ready with her camera to capture the memories.
Rozanne was the ultimate hostess. Her home was always meticulously decorated for every holiday to welcome friends and family to a meal, a cocktail, and lots of laughs. She was welcoming and generous, and she loved giving gifts to her loved ones. Rozanne also found joy in watching football and was competitive in her fantasy league, loved playing games on her phone for hours on end, and enjoyed a good Pokémon raid. Her participatory sport of choice was bowling. Over the years, she was on several womens' and mixed bowling leagues.
In addition to her beloved husband of 54 years, Ken, Rozanne is survived by her daughter Beth Ann (Michael) Murray, grandchildren Juliana, Maya, and Carmelo Mazzotta, best friends closer than siblings, Edward and Mary Sue Ray, adopted nieces and nephews Karen, Tom, Levi, and Alan Dwyer, Deanne, John, Jonathan, and Joshua Busch, step-grandchildren Anthony and Samantha Fortunato and Alyssa and Brandon Cenatiempo, step-great-grandson Tony Fortunato, grand-dog P.T., as well as numerous godchildren and others who held a special place in Rozanne's heart.
