Obituary of Raymond A. Nadeau

RAYMOND A. NADEAU Latham-Raymond A. Nadeau, 74 of Latham, beloved husband of Joyce Hogan Nadeau entered into eternal Life on Friday, April 30, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital, in Albany. Born in Cohoes, he was son of the late Joseph and Exina (Bruneau) Nadeau. He was a graduate of LaSalle Institute in Troy and of Siena College with a BBA degree graduating in 1960. Raymond married his beloved Joyce Hogan at St. Agnes Church in Cohoes on September 7, 1957 and the two have shared a blessed union for over 52 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1958 until 1962. He was employed as the Controller for VanPatten Homes in Clifton Park for over 8 years until 1992, prior to that he was with Urbach, Kahn & Werlin Accounting firm in Albany for 13 years. Ray had previously served as treasurer for 1st American bank in Albany for several years. He served as an usher at St. Ambrose Church for over 20 years. He was the former treasurer at the Clifton Park Rotary for many years. Ray was an avid gardener, loved fishing, playing cards with his family and friends and enjoyed spending time at his camp in Halfmoon. Most importantly his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Survivors in addition to his wife include his loving children Douglas (MaryJo) Nadeau of Colonie, and Kathleen Nadeau of Latham, his cherished grandchildren Gillian Nadeau, Kendall Nadeau and Keeghan Nadeau, he is also survived by several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his sister, Terese Miron. Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 4, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Francis DuBois officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors at St. Peter's Hospital as well as their family and friends for the support during Ray's illness.
