LILLIAN M. ALGER

ALBANY - Lillian M. Alger, 94 of Albany, beloved wife of the late Frank A. Alger, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023 at her home.

Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Frances (Jones) Karins.

Lillian worked as an assistant manager at Macy's in Colonie. Prior to that she was devoted to raising and caring for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved late sister and best friend Katherine. Together, they were especially fond of trips to the casino. Lillian was also proud of her Irish heritage. Her greatest source of joy, however was always her family. Nanny's, as she was affectionately referred to as, grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially, always held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian is predeceased by her eleven siblings.

She is survived by her three children: Frank A. (Carol A.) Alger, Patricia L. Brown, and Steven F. (Melissa A.) Alger. Also survived by fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, May 4th, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. A prayer service celebrated by Fr. John Califano at 12:00 PM will conclude the visitation.

Interment and Rite of Committal at Memory Gardens, Colonie will immediately follow the funeral home services.
