ROBERTA DEGONZA

TROY – Roberta DeGonza, 75 of Troy, beloved wife of forty-seven cherished years of the late Raymond M. DeGonza., entered into eternal life on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, with her beloved family at her side.

Born on October 7th, 1947 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Conti) Labunski.

Roberta was truly the heart and soul of her family. She enjoyed gardening and spending time in the yard. Her deepest source of joy however was spending time with those she loved. She will be forever missed yet eternally cherished and remembered by those who knew and loved her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with her dear husband, Ray as well as her best friend and daughter, Dionne "Dee" M. DeGonza, who devotedly cared for Roberta prior to her passing in 2021.

Survivors include her children Raymond (Farrah) DeGonza, Anthony (Alicia) DeGonza, David (Kelly) DeGonza, and Edward DeGonza, her grandchildren Niko (Chantelle), Ashlynn, Emily, Gianna, and Talyia, as well as her great-granddaughter Lily and another soon to arrive great-grandchild. Also survived by several siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, April, 12th, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Sharing of memories and a brief prayer service will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment beside her late husband in Memory Gardens, Colonie will immediately follow the service.
