Dear Jack:
I have not written a memorial yet, because each time I start, I start to cry and have been unable to finish. I was one of the luckiest to have known you, because I have known you since you met my sister. I have a lifetime of memories - all those years I took for granted you would always be with us. I never dreamed you'd be taken and we were not prepared to lose you. It seems so unfair to all of us. I remember well the Friday night gourges of years ago, attending the February oldies parties in Norwich - you and Mary Kay, Tony and I. Your apartments in Norwich, and all the wonderful memories made with our families. All our awesome Christmas celebrations. We were always together for the past 37 years - we always celebrated with family. The lake parties and dinners - I loved being at our camp, because I knew you and Mary Kay would be at yours - whenever I went to pick up Mary Kay there you were in the garage "doing something". I so admired your talents and conviction to any task you would tackle. You would have done anything for anyone - all they need to is ask. I will forever miss you. Please look after Mary Kay from your space - as I will from mine. I know that you knew I loved you. I miss you.

To Mary Kay, Shannon & Erin,
Although I have never met any of you, please allow me to offer my condolences on your loss. I am a member of the golf league Jack played in on Tuesday nights. He was my favorite person to play with and I will greatly miss doing so this year.
Just a quick story to demostrate his thoughtful and generous nature. I am one of the very few in that league who walks virtually every time. The first time I played with him, he insisted on carrying my clubs on the cart with him, but refused to let me pay for part of the cart.

Aunt Mary Kay, Shannon, Erin, Grandma and Mom,
We are so sorry about Uncle Jack. He was a great man as all of you know. We will never forget the good times we had with him. Whether we were vacationing together in Myrtle Beach, Cruising the Caribbean, celebrating Thanksgiving in the Adirondacks, riding around in his Corvette or just hanging out at the lake he was always telling jokes and stories.
I remember going Parasailing with him in Myrtle Beach even with his broken finger. We all went to the Myrtle Beach Grand Prix and got our own racing licenses and tore up the go kart track. I remember riding home from Myrtle Beach in the back of the station wagon with the portable TV he set up in the very back for us kids. What a riot.
As far as the lake goes, we always looked forward to seeing him “fixing” something or “designing” something with rollers, pulleys or some form of bungee cord whenever we would arrive at the lake. We always enjoyed getting Luciano’s Pizza from up the road for a quick snack after a hard day of play, building a fireplace, building a new dock, building a Fireworks launching platform or installing a wave runner launching system and so on and so on. “MacGyver” was always working on a project. Can’t wait to see how he has restored the Boston Whaler.
We have many great memories of spending time with him in front of the campfires too. We all will certainly miss you Uncle Jack but we will never forget you. Thanks for all the great memories.
Love, Jason, Linda and Shane

Jack..I never thought I would be on a site for you like this. I thought we all would be sailing off into the sunset of the Caribbean again ,laughing, wearing pink shirts and funny hats....
From the 'tea-cup' of water in the bathtub on Forest Dr., to the rooftop of the garage at the River, Mt.Snow trips,Fla, the caddy w Rudy& Mare, the aluminum boat rides, the 'ROCK',the dress up party w Shawn Cronkwright(lol),to the Red Cottage in Stowe, and the dorms in Putney,to the turtle neck shirt to hide in as you walked me down the isle...I will never forget each and every cherished moment. You were the best big brother I could have had and I will always love you. No one can take my memories from me, ever.I'm sure you are with the gang,Fred,Rudy,Marion,Howard,Terry,Ernie,Eric,Billy,Shawn and our loved ones who have crossed the bridge, be at peace, know you were loved and will be in the hearts of all who knew you forever.

It's awful hard to find the words to say "good bye." I knew Jack for just a short two years. His humor was always there and you were hard pressed to match his wit. His love of family and his sharing heart for all others will be dearly missed. Jack, keep that smile shining down on us....we will never forget you.

I was fortunate to have met Jack last summer at Oneida Lake. As we pulled up to the cottage, Dave made me roll down the window and yell something crazy to Jack, whom I had yet to meet. Jack was working on something in the garage, he stopped and came over to the truck and harassed us for a bit. I knew from his wittiness and humor a great weekend was ahead. The cottage was a blast and I couldn’t wait to come back. The Sunday before Jacks passing, Dave and I went to the Carousel mall in Syracuse. The drive reminded me of our trips to the lake and I said “Dave I can’t wait for the summer, I want to go to the lake and sleep in the hammock, ride the roller coaster and see Jack! His humor is like no other and he made me feel so welcome both times we visited last summer.”
My best memory of Jack was him constantly telling me if I didn’t put my cell phone away he was going take it away. He said “Camp is a place to get away and put everything else out of your mind.” Well he is right! The next time I go to the lake I will miss Jack so much. What a great guy and I am glad I got a chance to meet him.
Love Always, Lorianne Miller

Uncle Jack, Thank you very much for all of the great times, stories, and laughs, at the Onieda lake camp fires. I always had wonderful times with you and your family. Most of all I will never forget our special trip to the Morrisville College Horsey barn with John Cronkwright. The three of us were still laughing about our trip to the barn 8 years later. I will miss you very much and think of you everyday. Thank you for all of the memories.
Love you,
