VINCENT P. COOK
COHOES - Vincent Paul Cook, 74 of Cohoes, beloved husband of Dorothy A. (Benoit) Cook, entered into eternal life on Friday, January 20th, 2023 at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, in Schenectady.
Born in Troy, NY, on May 5, 1948 he was the son of the late Michael J. and Elizabeth M. (Abbate) Cook. He attended and graduated from La Salle Institute in Troy, class of 1967. Vincent served honorably in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1976. He graduated from Hudson Valley Community College as well as attended Siena College. Vincent and Dorothy were married October 30, 1987 and spent thirty-five beautiful and cherished years together. Vince worked as a Medical Buyer for St. Peter's Health Partners retiring in 2014. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Ambrose Church in Latham as well as past member of the Colonie Elks Lodge 2192 and active member of the Latham Colonie Knights of Columbus Council 3394.
Vince was a loving, caring, and devoted man to all of those whom he cherished in this life. He was the life of the party and lit up a room just by walking into it. His positive, fun-loving, and goodhearted nature will forever remain his legacy. He was an avid sports fan rooting for his beloved NY Giants as well as the NY Islanders. He looked forward to his walks with his dear sisters at the RPI track and especially enjoyed family outings and game nights. He will be missed dearly, however, his family will hold his memory close to their hearts and always cherish Vince's life well lived.
In addition to his parents Vince is predeceased by his brother David Cook. He is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy, his four cherished sisters Marybeth (late Ave) Nadell, Barbara (John) Kaperka, Michele (late Thomas) MacCue, and Donna (Antonio) Iannacito, sister-in-law Patricia Cook, as well as several loving and caring nieces and nephews who held a very special place in his heart.
