Obituary of Kathleen M. Verrette

KATHLEEN M. VERRETTE

WATERVLIET - Kathleen M. Verrette passed away peacefully on November 22nd, 2022 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY.

She was born on November 9, 1940 in Manhattan to Thomas and Gertrude (Dzielinski) Malloy. She grew up in New York and proudly lived in the neighborhood of Bay Ridge. She also spent time living in San Diego, California.  She moved to Newburgh, NY in the early 2000's and finally moved to the Capital Region last year.

Kathleen enjoyed the Twilight movies, the Sound of Music, The Goonies, and Congo. She had a sweet tooth and always had a purse full of butterscotch candies and mints, which she would always offer to everyone. She loved Coca-Cola and coffee. She was a huge fan of Elvis and Fats Domino. Her spirit animal was the hummingbird.

She is survived by her son Richard C. Verrette (Marilyn), her brother Thomas Malloy (Wanda), granddaughters Amanda Naclerio (Matthew), and Roxanne Verrette, as well as nephews Tom and John Malloy.

Services will be private. Kathleen will be laid to rest with her parents at St. Raymond's Cemetery in The Bronx.

Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the care of Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home.
