LOUIS J. CLARK, JR.

Cohoes- Louis J. Clark Jr., 89 of Cohoes, passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn in Albany.

Born in Colonie on February 15, 1933, he was the son of the late Louis J. and Elizabeth Loretta (Gillett) Clark. Lou is predeceased by his wife Joan Ann (Parvis) Clark who passed away in 2013.

Lou worked in the Newsroom for the New York State Commission for the Blind in Albany for 30 years, retiring in 1995.

He is survived by his 7 children: Bonny Clark, MaryAnn Clark, Joan Clark, William Clark, John Clark, Paul Clark, and Matthew Clark. Also survived by his brother Robert Clark as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Lou is predeceased by his children Louis John Clark III and Dawn Clark, sister Barbara Jean Sherlock, and his longtime companion and special friend, Marilyn Cavanaugh.

Funeral services for Lou will be Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A prayer service will begin at 10:30 AM, with Rev Gordon Drake officiating, and interment will immediately follow in Albany Rural Cemetery.
