My thoughts & prayers go out to Linda and the Rose family. I had the privilege of knowing Mike the last several years as part of the Newspedalers bicycling group, which I just saw him on 8/30 at our group's cookout and I wished him well and 'happy biking' in FL this winter. So it really hasn't hit me yet that he won't be biking with us any longer.... yet he will be in spirit I'm sure ;-)
May he Rest In Peace and God Bless those he left behind. Blessings -Dan Berg

During the 1990's I was the DOT Operations Manager for Region 7, which included Clinton Co. Mike and I worked closely together and although we had some rather heated discussions, I felt that NYSDOT could use a lot more managers like him. His county was always the best performers. I remember being able to identify Mikes letters/reports by the word flow because he was one of the few engineers who used dictation. I also remember happening to being with Mike when we were shocked by the Air Base closing and the OJ decision. Memorable events
He often spoke about his two boys with great pride.
Rest in peace Mike,
Al Frechette

I wa so sorry to learn of Mike’s death. I sailed a bit with him on the Outlaw with Andy Edwards, and I had worked with Sharon at Clinton. Two lovely people to know and respect. My condolences to all his family and friends.

Mike and families. We did not know your dad until Oct 2. My husband and I drove upon him soon after he fell. We just were driving in that area last night and we wish we had given you our phone number as we have been constantly thinking about him and hoping he was ok. Reading this this morning is truly heartbreaking. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. I was amazed of his love for cycling that day and more amazed today as I read his wonderful life story. God bless you and your families during this time and always.
