JAMES F DIMARZIO

LATHAM - James F. DiMarzio, 75, of Latham, passed away suddenly on October 15, 2022.

James was born in Ware, MA, on February 12, 1947 and was the son of the late William and Reanette (Dubois) DiMarzio of Gilbertville, MA.

At nineteen years old, James was drafted by the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War Era. Following his discharge, James made a home for himself in the Capital District. Here he started a family, made countless friends, and worked over 25 years for the Capital District Transit Authority (CDTA). All who knew him will remember his quiet, yet, charming demeanor and his love for spending time with family.

James is survived by his former wife and dear friend Sandra DiMarzio, his children, Sarah DiMarzio Spiak of Guilderland, Marisa DiMarzio Valletta (Michael) of Cambridge, MA, and Thomas Sprague (Sherri) of MA. Also survived by granddaughters Brooke and Jean, brothers Thomas DiMarzio of Venice, FL and Guy DiMarzio (Louise) of Rutland, MA as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents James is predeceased by his sister Roberta DiMarzio and his son Craig.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham on Saturday, November 5th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
