Anne Marie Bird, 75, recently of Latham, passed away on September 14, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany shortly before her 76th birthday.
Anne Marie was born on September 21st, 1946 to the late William and Anne (Russ) Bird. She graduated from St Patrick's School in Watervliet and Catholic Central High School in Troy, Class of 1964.
Anne Marie was proud of her Irish Heritage and spent many hours researching her genealogy. She loved root beer floats, CocaCola, country music, pork and pahdaydas (potatoes), collecting Humbles (Hummels), scratch-offs, cross-stitch, Yankee Candles, sapphires, her Christmas Village and her favorite color is still up for debate. Her nieces and nephew fondly remember trips to Frontier Town, Great Escape, Hoffman's Playland and Orlando, FL.
Always generous and organized, she never forgot a birthday, and always included some scratch-offs in the lucky recipient's card.
She loved her apartment at Hearthstone and enjoyed all the activities offered, especially trivia, Wii Bowling and Texas Hold 'em.
Anne Marie was the beloved sister to Patricia (late Carlos) Gutierrez of Troy and Kathleen (late David) Quackenbush of Averill Park. Devoted aunt to Janice Quackenbush, Lynn (Richard) Pontore, Deborah (Randy) Thrasher, Natalie (Mathew) Moses, Carla (Ronald) Tyler and Carlos (Chen) Gutierrez. Also survived by 9 great-nieces and nephews, several cousins, and many friends at Hearthstone.
As per her wishes, there will be no services.
