hi momma...can't believe it's been two years....but...then it seems like yesterday. I love greeting you 15x a day...seeing that beautiful smile on my computer home page. It helps me feel you are right here with me....Spring is coming....you're favorite season...but when it's over...summer is your favorite season....and then it's fall...and then the snow!
God...you accepted everything and anything...so effortlessly...like it was a plan. I tried to honor you and uncle erland by going to his 100th birthday reunion in baltimore this weekend but got the stomach flu so cancelled. Had looked forward to being with Brenda and Joel and Janice. It is what it is. They are enjoying. Kiss on daddy for me...we love you. xk

Hi Momma....and Daddy...it's your 75th anniversary today. I remembered but needed the calculator to figure it out. As I take a deep breath, and close my eyes, I'm thinking of you finally together and enjoying your special day. Know that I am with you and miss you so very much. I am happy you are together again and very sad that I have lost you except in my heart. lovingly,k

Hi momma....it's your second birthday away from us but certainly where you belong...with long lost family...daddy, your mom, sis, mary, dad and all others. God, Momma, I look at your sweet face ten times a day on the computer and you reach into my soul and speak to me....and I surely talk with you too, but miss you so very much. Trying to keep my head above water and know you are better off, but my heart has such a big hole. You were always my best friend and my stabilizing force. I just need to always feel you in my heart and see your beautiful face.
Love you, momma xxook

hi momma...can't believe it's two days short of a year since you've gone to be with daddy and your mom, sister, father,Mary and others. I've missed you so very much and you are always close in my thoughts. Sometimes, I'm so sad because I miss you, other times I just want to share so much with you.
We miss you and loved you so very much but you're in my
heart, tied by a best-friend link, and we'll never really be apart. Love you momma.
You were the Best! k

Ethel's Love of Life and People....
For the two and a half years she lived with us she brought a new appreciation of God's gifts to us and everyone she met. Ethel was truly grateful for the simple things, such as a sunny morning,a blossoming flower, misty rain, a big hug, a ladybug, but most of all her family. On a personal level she made me appreciate all of my many blessings--a wife who reflects her mother's positive thinking, a home that became more than just a a place to live for the very reason of her living in it--a garden she enriched by making you understand the natural beauty of it--wonderful friends that must never be taken for granted--a sense of deep gratitude for simple pleasures that became so very special because of her way of making you look more closely at them. People would say how good it was of us to take care of Ethel in her vintage years, but the real truth is it's what she gave to us that meant so much: Love, laughter, a greater faith in God and better understanding of what it takes to make others happy. She always put everyone elses needs before her own. I have become a better person because Ethel has taugh me what life is really all about.

Her life was a celebration of smiles, repartees, hugs and kind words for all. As a friend of Kris & Dick, she welcomed me into her arms and always had a happy look amd hug for me.
We just drove in from Florida an hour ago and sadly, my bursitis is acting up. Too much pain right now -- I need Ethel's smiles and attitude to help me along at the present time. We will be thinking of her and her great attitude always.
We will make a donation to the Hospice as you suggested. Fondly, Margot & Arthur

Ethel was beautiful~inside and out. She was kind and loving to all who entered her home. She would always make a meal for anyone who stopped by to visit. Ethel loved God, she loved life, she loved her family. She touched many lives by the way she lived her life. She always showed love, loyalty, and respect to all. She was one amazing lady who was loved by all. What a blessing for Kris and Dick to have her in their home. You are all in our prayers. With Love, Patti & Ron Lynch

I met Ethel when she came to stay with Kris and Dick. From the very first time we met and every time after that, she greeted me with a "Hi" and smile that made you feel that you were the most important person in the world. What a gift! Her bright blue eyes and brilliant spirit never faded.
And, her sense of humor was disarming. One day near the end when I sat in a chair that was next to her bed, she looked at herself in the mirror that is on the closet door at the end of her bed, and said "that woman never argues with me"!
I will miss her but I am honored that I was able to visit with her for the time she lived in Latham with Kris and Dick, Molly and Lizzie.
Most sincerely,
Sue Miller

I have many fond memories of my grandmother. New Year's Eve overnights when I was young, Christmas Eve and her favorite holiday, Easter, which has become my favorite. When I think of Grandma, I think of Spring and its gorgeous flowers, beautiful pastel colors, and jelly beans (one of her favorites). She was a lovely woman and a terrific grandmother. I will miss her terribly. God bless you Grandma. We love you.

As I have only been alive for 12 years and have lived in Asia for my whole life, I honestly have not seen my great grandmother that much.
However, I have seen and talked to her enough to realise that she was a true gentle woman- loving, compassionate, kind and gentle. And I wish her the very best in the afterlife. I have always loved her and I always will.

My mother was a true Southern lady – genteel, kind and very compassionate. Always putting her family first, she provided never ending empathy and support to all her children. She adored every one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and in turn they admired and loved her.
My mother loved her garden, full of blossoming flowers, shrubs and even the occasional snake or toad. She enjoyed sultry summer days, cold winter nights and everything related to nature.
As a librarian she loved her books, but most of all she loved her family, her friends and enjoyed interacting with the diverse range of people she came in contact with every day at the library and elsewhere.
She was a devoted wife. My mother and father, Peter, enjoyed each other’s company every day. They had a wonderful life together, from the family they lovingly raised to their wide ranging travels later in life.
I shall forever remember her sparkling blue eyes, pure soul and the smell of violets, her favorite flower. Sorrowful yet joyful it was my good fortune to be one of her beloved children.
Love, Monica
