CHARLES W. BURNS JR.
LOUDONVILLE – Charles W. Burns, Jr, 81, of Loudonville passed away on Monday, June, 27th, 2022 at Albany Medical Center.
Born in Albany on June 30th, 1940 he was the son of the late Charles W. and Charlotte (Golden) Burns.
Charles served honorably in the US Navy from 1959 to 1960. He retired from the Watervliet Arsenal with thirty years of dedicated service. Charlie enjoyed fishing, gardening tomatoes, woodworking, spending time with his dogs, and was an avid LA Dodgers fan.
Survivors include his daughters Sharon (Lee) Gipson and Deborah (Dan) Burns, his sister Marion (Albert) Hummel, as well as his granddaughter Sidney. He is also survived by his nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. A brief prayer service will take place at the conclusion of the visitation.
Private interment with Charlie's family will take place at a later date at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
