Obituary of Eric P. Hickey

RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Eric P Hickey, 48, of Richfield Springs, NY passed away suddenly on May 5, 2022 at Westchester Medical Center due to surgical complications. Eric is preceded in death by his beloved father, John F Hickey.

Born in Albany on February 13, 1974, Eric is the son of Frances E Barton and stepfather Bruce K. Barton Sr. He was a graduate of Guilderland High School and SUNY Institution of Technology Utica-Rome. Eric was an Engineer Manager at Amphenol Aerospace for the last 20 years. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. Eric's passion was spending every moment with his sons.

Eric is survived by his sons Aidan and Liam, his sister Kellie (Chris) FitzGibbon, His Uncle, Mike (Barbara) Fitzgerald, his Aunt Lynn (Paul) Waehler, and Uncle Paul (Pat) Hickey. He was a loving uncle to nephews Ryan and Logan FitzGibbon.

He was the most kindhearted and giving person to all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd, Latham from 9 am to 10:30 am. A prayer service will be held immediately following the visitation beginning at 10:30am. Interment to immediately follow at St Agnes Cemetery, Menands where Eric will be laid to rest next to his loving father.
