CONSTANCE M. PARVANA
LATHAM - Constance "Connie" M. Parvana, 90 of Latham, NY passed away peacefully at the Milton and Hattie Kutz Home in Wilmington, DE on Sunday April 3rd, 2022.
Connie was born and educated in Latham. She was the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Halpin) Scholan. Connie graduated from Watervliet High School and worked for General Electric in her early twenties. While being blessed with children she then worked various other part time jobs through the years as a salesclerk at Robert Halls Clothes in Latham, counter staff at Carroll's fast-food restaurant in Latham and a salesclerk at Alfred's Fabric Store in Latham Circle Mall all while balancing the most challenging job being a homemaker and a mother to four children. Eventually Connie returned to full time work once her children were grown. She retired as a clerical worker from Combined Life Insurance in Albany in the mid 1990's.
Connie's had a deep love for the outdoors and her back yard "critters" were the joy of her life next to spending time with her family and friends. As she would always say "and that's a good thing."
Connie was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Joseph P. Parvana. Also predeceased by her sisters: Elizabeth Lamb and Esther Cole and a brother Louis Scholan.
Connie is survived by her sister Margaret Snow of Troy, her children: Joe Parvana of Middle River, MD, James (Sharon) Parvana of Novi, MI, Greg (Nancy) Parvana of Burnt Hills, NY, and Gina (Tim) Dunham of Wilmington, DE. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
