BONNIE M. HALPIN CLIFTON PARK - Bonnie M. Halpin, nee Braden, passed away March 26th, 2022 unexpectedly at the age of 73. A mother, grandmother, trusted confidante and friend, Bonnie was a lover of all things creative, comedic, and just. Born in Corning, NY, Bonnie was a 1966 graduate of Johnson City High School and went on to earn her Bachelors of Science from Cortland before also earning her Masters in Education from Russell Sage. She worked as a teacher before going on to a long and happy career as an associate at American Airlines in Albany, NY., which allowed her to take her two young children on trips all over the country. While Bonnie enjoyed traveling, reading, being out in nature, learning about both ancient and contemporary history, and crocheting her many beautiful quilts and clothing for those around her, she was happiest when spending time with her family. A soul who will be missed dearly by all who knew and were ever close to her, she is survived by her daughter Kate, son Dan (wife Danielle), granddaughter Kinsley, sisters Amy, Trudy, and Ellen, ex-husband Tim Halpin, and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and colleagues. If the ideal of selfless motherhood exists, she was the living manifestation of it, and her children and granddaughter are the profound proof. She will be deeply and forever missed. There are no publicly scheduled services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society by mail at 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204 or online at https://mohawkhumane.org/donate.
