Obituary of Joseph Nicholas Buono

JOSEPH NICHOLAS BUONO CLIFTON PARK- Joseph Nicholas Buono, 64 of Clifton Park and Sarasota FL, beloved husband of Nancy Kopyc Buono, entered into eternal life on January 13th, 2022 with his family at his side in Sarasota, FL. Born in Troy, on June 5, 1957, he was the son of the late Nicholas John and Mary Joan (Poulin) Buono. He married the love of his life Nancy Kopyc Buono and the two have shared a beautiful marriage of 40 years. Joe was educated at Christian Brothers Academy and received a B.S. from The College of St. Rose. He was a food broker and dedicated employee of C.A. Ferolie for over 40 years. Survivors in addition to his wife, include his cherished daughter Shannon (Gregory Paraskos) Buono, his brothers Christopher (Denise) Buono, Nicholas (Wendy) Buono, his mother-in-law Beth (James) Calhoun, brother-in-law Robert K. (Dana) Kopyc, sister-in-law Kimberly (Keith) Scott and several, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joe enjoyed volunteering at Albany Medical Center with his therapy dog and also taught adaptive ski lessons at The Double H Ranch. He was an avid cyclist and competed in several triathlons. Treasured times were spent with his family and friends. He spent over 25 summers at the beach in Cape May, NJ boogie boarding, building sand castles and reading on his porch swing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday January 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.in St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville with Rev. James Walsh officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call at St. Pius X Church Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the mass. Interment will be in Sepulchre Cemetery in Rensselaer.
