MARILYN M. NASH WATERVLIET - Marilyn M. Nash, age 90 formerly of Watervliet, passed away on Sunday, January 16th, 2022 at Van Rensselaer Manor in Troy. Born January 7th 1932 in Leeds, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Irene (Leat) Koehler. Marilyn attended and graduated from Cairo Central School Class of 1948. She then went on to work for Montgomery Ward. In 1952, she became a Directory Analyst, employed by NYNEX in East Greenbush. She worked there for thirty-six years, until retiring in July of 1989. She was Treasurer of the Directory Alumni Council of Upstate New York, and member of the Menands Seniors as well as the Telephone Pioneers. She participated in the Keys to Fun at Music Land where she enjoyed playing and learning about the organ. Survivors include her dearest friends Merle "Teresa" Baker and Wayne "Mikey" Dewey whom she considered to be family of her own, staying true to her belief that family is not always blood. She shared a beautiful and devoted friendship with both Teresa and Mikey that they will both forever cherish. Services for Marilyn will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, 4:00 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Private interment next to her parents will take place at Catskill Town Cemetery, Catskill.
