Obituary of Margaret Ann Cervenak

MARGARET ANN CERVENAK Latham- Margaret (Peg) Ann Cervenak, 79 of Latham, beloved wife of John J. Cervenak, entered into eternal life early Sunday, January 24, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany after a brief illness. Born in Forty-Fort, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Margaret M. (McGuiness) Corcoran. Peg grew up in Swoyersville, PA, graduated from Forty-Fort High School class of 1948. She married her beloved John J.Cervenak February 14, 1953 and the two have shared a blessed union for over 56 years. She worked for Bell Telephone before moving to Latham in 1966. Her true enjoyment in life was her loving husband, children and cherished grandchildren. Survivors in addition to her husband include her loving children John and his wife Nancy of Chatham, NJ, Rick and wife Beth of Malta, NY and Meg and husband Derek Brown of Johnstown, NY, She was the cherished Nana of Casey, Lindsay, Corinne, and Noah Cervenak, Ryan, Kelly and Steven Brown, Peg was the sister of Bill Corcoran and his wife Alice of Bloomsburg PA, sister-in-law of Anna Cervenak and Max Bartikowsky of Forth-Fort PA. She is also survived by many close family and friends who meant the world to her. Peg was predeceased by her brother Edward Corcoran of PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday January 28, at 10:00 am in Our Lady of The Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke, pastor officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will be Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in memory of Margaret Ann Cervenak to Our Lady of the Assumption Memorial Fund 498 Watervliet-Shaker Rd.
