DEBORAH A. POLETO LATHAM - Deborah A. Poleto, 63 of Latham, beloved wife of David M. Poleto, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Troy, NY on March 24, 1958, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Marion A. (McGrath) Volz. Debbie and Dave were married in St. Joseph's Church, Green Island on September 26, 1981 and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at a party thrown by their children. Debbie was a graduate of Catholic Central High School's class of 1976 and then went on to Hudson Valley Community College where she received an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Debbie spent the majority of her life doing the job she loved most, that of being a mom. She also worked as a substitute teacher and enjoyed volunteering at the Hudson Mohawk Humane Society as well as the Ronald McDonald Family Suite at Albany Med. In her spare time, aside from her volunteer work, Debbie enjoyed trips to California wine country as well as having the ability to find a casino no matter the destination. Out of all the things that Debbie found joy in, her most precious was the time spent with her family. Survivors in addition to her husband David and children Rachel and David Jr. include her sister Mary Ryan and her husband Tony, mother-in-law Emma Poleto, brothers and sisters-in-law James and Francis Poleto, (late) Robert and Theresa Poleto, Linda Poleto Doud, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
