Obituary of Raymond Martin Johnson

RAYMOND MARTIN JOHNSON Latham-Raymond Martin Johnson, 84 of Latham, beloved husband of Elizabeth H. Pazzo Johnson for over 62 years entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at his home with his loving family at his side. Born in Cohoes, on April 14, 1937, he was the son of the late Raymond V. and the late Ethel (Lyons) Johnson. He was a Salesman, employed by Graybar Electric in Albany for many years until retiring in 1998. He was an active member of the Cohoes Youth Organization and a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his family. Survivors in addition to his wife include his loving children Michael (Janet) Johnson, Mary Beth (Kevin) Durocher, Thomas (Mary) Johnson, Daniel (Eileen) Johnson and Ellen (Thomas) Benoit, his cherished grandchildren Kevin (Alyse Keller) Johnson, Sarah (Ryan) Henderson, Lauren (Joshua) Jones, Eric (Lindsey) Johnson, Kailyn (James) Ciancarelli, Emily (Nick) Calangi, Kylie (Mark) Davin, Timothy Johnson, his adored great-grandchildren Eleanor Calangi, Cecilia Henderson, Madelyn Johnson and Emmott Davin, his sister Iolene (Jack) Mitchell, sister in law Jean Johnson and sister in law Frances Pazzo. Ray is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Johnson and Lois (Bob) Hart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes.
