Obituary of Odd E. Volland

Watervliet-Odd E. Volland, 60 of Watervliet, beloved husband of Barbara A. (Billings) Volland, died suddenly Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his home in Watervliet with his beloved wife at his side. Born in Brooklyn, on March 30, 1961, he was the son of the late Roberta (Cortese) LeMay. He married the love of his life Barbara Billings on July 12, 1980 and the two have shared a beautiful marriage of over 40 years. Odd was always the life of any party, to know him was to love him. Self-proclaimed mayor of "Volland-Ville," where he loved to host anyone who wanted to come hang in the 'villion. Enjoyed sitting by his pond, feeding and talking to his Koi. He was adored by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, loving every minute he got to spend with them. Odd was quite the handyman and jack of all trades (master of ALL!!), if you could think it - he could make it. He was a Union Taper working with the Painters and Allied Trades Union, District Council 9 in Albany for many years. Our buddy, Oddy, will truly be missed by so many. Survivors in addition to his wife include his loving children Erica (Nate Thomas) Volland, Jonathon Volland, and Tyler Volland, his siblings Stanley (Allison) Volland, Lisa Volland and John (Memory) LeMay, Gampy to Mackenzi (Ryan) Marsh, Mackayla (Sean Welch) Hall, Ethan Hall, Garrett Swartz, Landon Volland, Great-Gampy to Khloe, Carson, Kyler and Cole. Also survived by his good friends Norm & Kim Fraim and Michael Hall. Beloved brother-in-law. Loved and adored by an abundance of nieces, nephews and friends. Odd was predeceased by his sister Ellen (George) Meagan, as well as his mother and father-in-law, Howard & Ramona Billings.
