KENNETH L. BORDEN Latham- Kenneth L. Borden, 99 of Farmington, CT and formerly from Latham, NY entered peacefully into eternal rest on January 29, 2021. Born in Cohoes on December 28, 1921, he was the son of the late Arthur and Nadia (Aubin) Borden. He was married to the former Kathleen Durocher of Cohoes and later to Dorothy Densmore of Latham. Ken was educated in Cohoes Public Schools and LaSalle Institute in Troy. He was a 1946 graduate of Siena College where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Ken proudly the United States 8th Air Force in Europe during WWII, and was awarded the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Distinguished Flying Cross and the European Theater Ribbon with 3 stars. Ken joined the General Electric business training program in 1946 and worked at the Schenectady plant for 35 years, retiring in 1981 with the title of Manager of Cost Accounting - Large Motor & Generator Dept. for the last 20 years of his employment. He was also an elected official for the City of Cohoes during the tenure of the Citizens Party, having been elected to the Office of Assessor and Alderman-5th Ward. Upon moving to Latham in 1972, he became a communicant of St. Ambrose Church where he was active in many church groups, especially the Young at Heart Group where he was the group's first President. Kenneth is survived by his loving daughters, Barbara Borden of Connecticut, Jeanne Woo of Brossard, Quebec CA, step-daughters, Carole Brooks of Saratoga, Janice Dorton of Florida, Linda Nestuk of Saratoga and Judi Montgomery of Clifton Park. He also leaves behind one cherished grandchild. He is predeceased by his sister, Eleanor Delaney. Kenneth's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at 9:30am by Reverend Brian Kelly at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham. There will be no calling hours. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes. Donations in memory of Ken can be made to St. Ambrose Church 347 Old Loudon Rd. Latham, NY 12110.
