Obituary of Mary F. LaJoie

BOGHT CORNERS- Mary F. LaJoie, 92, of Boght Corners, beloved wife of the late Norman E. LaJoie entered into eternal life Monday, December 28, 2009 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes. Born and educated in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Dimitrius and Melania Parobek. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. Mary was employed by the New York State Tax and Finance in Albany for over 20 years, retiring in 1983. A Boght Corners resident for over 65 years, she was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and Young at Heart Group at St. Ambrose. Survivors include her three loving children, Paul R. LaJoie, Linda A. Atchinson both of Latham, and Connie M. Grimes of Burnt Hills; seven cherished grandchildren, Kevin and Christopher LaJoie, Brian and Keith Atchinson, Michael, Maria and Elizabeth Grimes. Mary is predeceased by her son James David LaJoie, grandson David Grimes as well as her brothers Steve, Harry and John Parobek and sister Dorothy Carpenter. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd. in Latham where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Dufresne and Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
