Obituary of Mary T. Connolly

MARY T. CONNOLLY Clifton Park- Mary T. Connolly, of Clifton Park, beloved wife of Kevin S. Connolly entered into eternal life on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Dublin, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late William and Bridget Kinsella Kiernan. She married Kevin S. Connolly on February 20, 1970 and the two have shared a beautiful marriage of over 50 years. Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughters Trisha McNeill and Dr. Denise (Dr. Ronald Wolf) Connolly, and her cherished sister-in-law Barbara Armstrong. Mary was a devoted and fiercely loyal wife and mother, and dear friend to many. Mary worked tirelessly to provide a beautiful life for her family, taught valuable and important lessons to all, and gave her love without condition. She, like many women of her generation, worked hard and laid the groundwork for how to break glass ceilings before they had a name. Mary loved fast cars and fabulous shoes, and she knew how to mitre a perfect corner and use a chainsaw. She was a lover of birds and animals, and a champion of those who have struggled. Mary was an Auditor with the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance for over 20 years before her retirement. In her retirement, she enjoyed her many hobbies, including gardening, gourmet cooking, knitting and expert stained-glass work, including creation of Tiffany lamps. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Church 347 Old Loudon Rd. Latham, with Rev. Brian Kelly officiating. Interment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers the family request donations in memory of Mary to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111, with sincere gratitude to Dr. Hossein Borghaei and the medical staff there.
