GEORGE J. FALLATI
Loudonville-George J. Fallati passed into the hands of the Lord on February 2, 2021. Born in New Britain, Connecticut on January 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Virginio and Louisa (Romersa) Fallati. He was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Arthur.
George graduated from New Britain High School in 1949 and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in engineering, as a member of the Class of 1952. George was employed by the New York Telephone Company and was one of the engineers responsible for planning communication systems for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. In addition to his duties as supervisory engineer, he also taught company courses. George retired from the company after 34 years of service.
George enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf, card games, chess, dance music and opera. He loved family get-togethers and summers in Lake George and Cape Cod.
George was devoted to his wife, their four sons, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Delmar), his sons Donald (Ruth) of Larchmont, NY, David (Linda) of Colonie, Paul (Christine) of Saratoga and Tom of Colonie, his grandchildren Allison (Michael) Fanelli, Anthony (Sarah) Fallati, Morgan, Mia, Mark and Luke and great-grandson Tanner Fanelli.
George was a man of great faith and a parishioner of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville for forty years. He enjoyed getting together with friends from the New York Telephone Pioneers and with the St. Piux X PEP luncheon group. He was a member of the Colonie Elks No. 2192 for forty years.
