Obituary of Vera L. Wells

VERA L. WELLS Latham-Vera L. Wells, 84 of Latham beloved wife of the late Theodore J. Wells, entered into eternal life Sunday January 17, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Brooklyn, NY on January 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and the late Sophie Terjesen Backeheld. She was employed as a Personnel Recruiter by Snelling and Snelling in Colonie for many years retiring in 1992. She married Theodore J. Wells on February 23, 1986 and the two shared a beautiful marriage until his passing June 9, 2020. Vera loved volunteering at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy for many years. Survivors include her loving daughter Lynn Skidmore, her son Louis Skidmore, step daughter Karen (Mark) Minick, and several grandchildren. Vera was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Thompkins. Graveside services will be held Thursday January 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy-Schenectady Road, Niskayuna.
