I'll always remember our Sunday visits to Ed's house to sing, eat and laugh. Chuck, Randy, Otto and I would sing barbershop songs and Ed would "coach" (mostly just make comments). His dry sense of humor and timing were fantastic. Sometimes I would get laughing so hard I literally could not catch my breath. Of course, he would periodically kick Otto aside and sing bass on a couple of songs. I think we sounded better with Otto, but man it was fun to sing with Ed. Occasionally, other barbershoppers would stop by for a visit. Then, late in the afternoon he and Johnny would usually make a delicious meal for us all. These great times were all made possible by Ed's generosity in sharing his home with all of us. I will miss those wonderful Sundays but I'm happy to have the memories of the times I was privileged to spend with him.
