Colonie-Kevin Michael Waite (Craze), 57, of Cohoes, NY, passed away on November 24, 2009, in Gainesville, FL after a vailiant and exhausting battle with chronic illness. He was also an uncle and a great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Kevin attended Shaker High School, Class of 1970. He became interested in building things at an early age partly due to the influence of his father's career as an architect. He was employed by Rutland Remodelers, Quality Builders, CMA and most recently by NYS Dept of Corrections as a systems installer. Throughout his life he pursued a calling as an independent contractor and built numerous homes, additions and remodels. He brought amazing enthusiasm to every project and his clients would remark time and again, what a great joy he was to work with and what a fabulous sense of humor he had.
Kevin was also creative in other areas. He had the heart of a poet and could have worked for Hallmark. He was a charismatic and charming individual who could have sold ice to Eskimos. He loved to entertain and have a good time with song or guitar and would eagerly take his turn at Karaoke. He was also known for having insatiable sweet tooth (Jolly Ranchers).
Kevin was a unique soul who explored the spiritual and philosophical sides of life. He was much loved by his wife, family and friends and will be forever missed.
