I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Maureen’s passing. We were best friends for many years growing up in the Alva/Starlight neighborhood. Memories flood my mind and heart of our childhood adventures. Kick ball, soft ball, bike riding, sledding, cards and board games and Maureen practicing her violin before Ruth would let her come out to play. We shared a first name and a birthday although she was a year older. She never let me forget it either because being older back then was considered a good thing. Maureen was a wonderful friend. Kind, loving, smart, loyal and always fun loving. Although life took us in different directions there has always been place in my heart for her.
My deepest condolences go out to her family at this difficult time. Special thoughts to the sisters that I knew, Cathleen and Karen and to all the Waltersdorf cousins.

I am shocked and so sad to hear about Maureen's death. We worked together for many years in Educational Services and all became much more than just co-workers, we became good friends. We shared stories as our children grew up, went on to college, then began to marry and start their own families. Maureen loved her family so much. She was taken away much too soon, and will be missed by the many friends she made over the years at ORPTS and in the assessment community. Our thoughts are with you all.

To Phil and all the family, You have my sincere and deep condolences. I am so sorry for your loss and so very saddened by Maureen's passing. I remember first meeting Maureen at work around 30 years ago and from that day we became the best of friends. That was how it was with Maureen - upbeat, kind, loving and supportive with a beautiful smiling spirit inside and out. May your memories sustain you during this difficult time. I feel blessed and lucky to have her as a treasured friend all these years. With deepest sympathy, Love, Darlene

This picture was taken in October 2018, during the river cruise we took with our good and long term friends, Bill and Wendy Hauswirth. I love the picture because it captured her as a mature vivacious woman but also reflect the same smile of her as a young girl.

I am blown away and saddened to hear of Maureen's passing. She was my supervisor at ORPS for many years, and made it more enjoyable to come to work. If you had an RPTL question, she was sure to know the answer. There wasn't a day that went by that she didn't talk about all of the good times she had with all of her family. Once she retired, she looked forward to traveling across country in their RV. Your smile will be missed.

I am so sad to hear of Maureen’s passing. I will miss her dearly. We worked together at ORPS, went for daily walks at work and kayaking after her retirement. She loved talking about her husband, sons, daughter-in-laws and grandchildren and the adventures and family get-togethers. Always upbeat and such a pleasure to be around. RIP my dear friend.
