Although I have never had the pleasure of meeting Joan, I did meet her son, Richard, when he worked at Quintessence in Albany.
He was known to us as "Ricky" then and he was always polite, professional and gave a great lift to Q just by his presence. He may not recall who I am, but when I noticed the name of his mom and saw their connection, I felt compelled to pass along my condolences to him and his family. The obituary says that Joseph died just last year and I have heard that couples that truly have a very strong bond often pass within a short time of each other. I am sorry for the loss of these two important people in your life, Ricky. Be well. Sincerely, Rita Hoffman

To Rick and Cindy, our sincerest condolences on the passing of your Mom. Our Mom, Olga, met her many years ago while working at Wards and as you know became instant, close friends. She often spoke fondly of Joan thru the years and greatly cherished their friendship. We also enjoyed the times our families got together many years ago and wish it had been more frequent. But we're sure they are having a grand time catching up on the good old days. God Bless!

Our prayers are with you, Cynthia, Richard, and families. Joan and Joe were the nicest folks to know at OLA’s 7:30AM Sunday Mass. Joan’s humor, and friendliness just brightened up that morning Mass’s atmosphere. We have missed their presents in recent years when they were not able to attend. May they be at peace with Jesus in His Heavenly Home! Thank God for having known them!
