Obituary of Xian Christine Gu

Xian Christine Gu Loudonville- Xian Christine Gu passed away on October 23, 2009 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital after a long courageous battle against breast cancer. Born in Shanghai, China on February 22, 1966, she moved to the US in 1990 and was a resident of Loudonville for the last 6 years. Prior to her illness Xian was employed as a Financial Analyst for Momentive Performance Materials in Waterford. She was the daughter of Xiwei Gu and Yongxain Zhu who live in Shanghai. Xian is the beloved wife of Feng Cao, whom she married in 1990 and was the loving mother of Loren Cao and Sarah Cao. Visitation & Gathering will be held on Saturday October 31 beginning at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope in the Boat, PO Box 266, Voorheesville, NY 12186 ( www.hopeintheboat.org) in memory of Xian Gu. Our thanks go to Doctors, nurses and staffs at both Albany Medical Center and The Community Hospice who took good care of her.
