Obituary of Anne P. Piazza

Please share a memory of Anne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
ANNE P. PIAZZA Loudonville-On November 18, 2019, Anne Piazza, 60 years old, went joyfully home to be with the Lord and her parents. Anne was the beloved daughter of the late Salvatore C. Piazza and Bea (Victoria) DeCarlo Piazza and sister of Maria Piazza LeBoeuf (late Joseph). She grew up in Troy, NY, graduated from Russell Sage College and retired from the NYS Office of Family and Children Services. Early in life, Anne developed kidney disease and while on hemodialysis for 17 years, she continued to work and take care of her elderly parents. Anne never let dialysis get in the way of living life. She enjoyed power walking at the Crossings, swimming in her pool, zumba, yoga, traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and going to see a Broadway show. She was a strong advocate for organ and tissue donations. Her favorite quote was, "Don't take your organs to heaven; heaven knows we need them here." Anne would like to thank her sister, Maria LeBoeuf, for following this journey with her. Anne would also like to thank her kindergarten friend, Tina Marro Zeh. She was a true friend throughout this long journey. Also, many thanks to her other great friends: Sue Valenti, Colleen Seebald, LouAnn Caruso, Cathy Ziter, Maureen McGinis and their families. A special thank you to Dr. Conti and the kidney transplant team and C3 East staff at Albany Medical Center, Dr. Kim Poli and the Albany Dialysis staff. Anne was predeceased by her brother-in-law Joseph LeBoeuf and her furry niece, Reine. She is survived by an Aunt and several cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday November 21, 2019 at 10:00am, at St. Ambrose Church, Latham with Rev. John Cairns officiating. There will be no viewing hours. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Albany Capital City Rescue Mission or the Hudson Valley Humane Society.
