JAMES H. BILLINGS
Troy- James Howard Billings, 64, of Lansingburgh, formerly of Maplewood, died October 16, 2019 surrounded by his family and friends.
His courageous battle with cancer was fought with a fierce and positive attitude. Jim was born January 4, 1955 to the late Howard C. Billings, Jr. and Ramona Twogood Billings. He was a 1973 graduate of Watervliet High School. As lead singer of the band, The Storm, his singing and songwriting talents were poetic and inspirational. Jim's loving nature was felt by all who met him. He was an avid NY Yankee, NY Jets and Boston Celtic fan. Raised Methodist, Jim believed in all Gods, kindness, honesty and humor. He was a well-read man and was very interested in his long-past Native American culture. Jim is survived by his soulmate/fiancée, Glee Fairlee-Keelen, his daughter, Sarah Jayne Lostritto of Cohoes, his son, Scott James Billings of Lansingburg and his step-son, Jason Reichelt of Colonie. Jim was a devoted grandfather to Alanna Marie, Gianna Bella, Nataleah Jayne and Nico Lostritto and Liam Reichelt. Brother to Susan Billings (Eileen Kelty) of South Carolina, David Billings (Mary Spiak) of Virginia, Cathy Mackey (Joseph) of Watervliet, Barbara Volland (Odd) of Maplewood, Bruce Heroux of Watervliet and the late Sandy Billings. Also survived by his band members, numerous nieces and nephews, and his life-long best friend, John Cehowski. Special thanks to NYOH staff and Dr. Goodman. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful, compassionate nursing staff at St. Peter's ICU.
