To Matt’s family,
I was a client of Matt’s. I learned today of his passing. I am so very sad and sorry for your loss. Matt handled my case with diligence, integrity, and concern. He was a dedicated and capable lawyer. More importantly, he was a remarkable person. Someone said about Matt, “He was one of the good guys.” How true. He made a difference. He will be missed very much.

In hearing of Matt's passing, my heart was filled with such sadness. As the news settled in, I oddly felt a smile come across my face thinking about kick the can games, Jenny's pool parties he "supervised", and his teaching me how to clean a fish up in 1,000 islands. I have so many memories that I will cherish from being welcomed into the Jackson's home & family but most importantly what I will remember about Matt, was his love of his family, his loyalty to his friends and that amazing smirk that was one of a kind. Matt was a special one, loved by so many over the years, he will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by us all.

Matt as a child and young adult always had this serenity when I was around him. He was unassuming, gracious, calm and kind, even as a teen-ager. Amazing to me, is how much he accomplished in his life. He sure was special.

I am so very sorry to learn of Matt's passing. I was the Assistant Principal at Nottingham when he was a Junior and Senior; what a great kid he was, from such a wonderful family. It does not surprise me at all to read about all his accomplishments; he was destined to be a remarkable man.
