John Carey Obituary

JOHN H. CAREY Clifton Park- John H. Carey, 95 of Clifton Park, beloved husband of the late Winona Hasbrouck, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Monday, September 22, 2008 at Livingston Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Livingston. Born in Albany on May 29, 1913, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth (Skinkle) Carey. It was on July 27, 1935 that John married the former Winona Hasbrouck. The love and dedication they shared lasted over 73 prior to her passing on August 27, 2008. John was employed as a Wool Inspector for Albany International in Menands, retiring in 1975 after 43 years of loyal and dedicated service. Survivors include his beloved children: John H. (Ann) Carey Jr. of Port Charlotte FL, Winona Carey-Quinn of Carrollton GA., Robert D. (Judie) Carey of Nokomis Fl., Paul M. (Karen) Carey of Cohoes, Peter J. Carey of Cohoes, Marc E. (Sheila) Carey of Albany and Andrew J. Carey of Colonie as well as his 15 cherished grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. John is also survived by his son in law David Carhart and daughter in law Anne Marie Carey and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Lynne Carhart, his son Richard J. Carey and his sister Betty Mangino In keeping with Johns wishes there will be no visitation with funeral services being private and at the convenience of the family.
