Latham- Joseph Clemens, 93 of Latham, beloved husband of Joan M. Clemens for over 70 years, entered into eternal life on Wednesday January 23, 2019.
Born July 14, 1925 in Albany, he was the son of the late Joseph Clemens and Catherine O' Hearn. He graduated from Franklin High School in Rochester, NY. Joseph married the former Joan Yurkiewicz on August 15, 1948 and the two shared a blessed union of marriage before his passing.
Joe was a foreman with the gas department at Niagara Mohawk for 37 years before retiring in June 1988. Joe proudly served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1942-1946. He was a Eucharistic Minister and Usher at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. He was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #38 and Colonie Elks Lodge #2192 and the American Legion Albany Post #1610.
In addition to his beloved wife Joan he is survived by his loving children: Cynthia J. Clemens of San Diego, CA and Richard J. Clemens of Queensbury as well as his cherished grandsons Cole W. and Chandler S. Clemens.
Joe's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday January 29, 2019 at11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Our Lady of Assumption Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Interment with full military honors will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
